西螺太平媽祈福馬拉松 報名
弘揚媽祖文化，推廣全民運動，西螺福興宮將於十月十四日首度舉辦「二○一八西螺媽祖太平媽祈福馬拉松」，昨（六）日下午在福興宮舉行宣傳記者會，雲林縣長李進勇現場報名三公里健走組，並與福興宮董事長楊文鐘及變裝馬拉松選手等人，共同邀請國內外馬拉松好手前來參賽，一起跟著太平媽的腳步祈福跑出健康。李進勇表示，西螺福興宮為內政部表揚績優寺廟，太平媽慈悲護佑香火鼎盛，是台灣民眾重要的信仰寄託，由信仰延伸出熱鬧盛大的廟會祭典，也是吸引觀光人潮、帶動地方商業活動的契機。
今年西螺太平媽祈福馬拉松活動首開先例，將路跑運動結合台灣廟會慶典常見的電音三太子、陣頭表演、祈福儀式等元素，打造成一場融合傳統與現代、獨一無二的廟會馬拉松嘉年華，除了鼓勵民眾參與路跑與健走活動，增強體魄，還要讓大家感受到西螺的人文風情，進而帶動國內外跑者與觀光客造訪人潮。李進勇指出，福興宮太平媽是雲林最重要的信仰中心，此次西螺太平媽祈福馬拉松活動由福興宮規劃主辦，結合地方景點推廣在地美食，讓所有選手來到西螺米醬小鎮運動兼觀光，平日只能在交通工具上遠觀的西螺大橋，特別開放跑者與健走民眾，用雙腳體驗西螺大橋的壯麗風采，用心感受西螺鄉親的熱情，打造全新觀光馬拉松體驗。
主辦單位西螺福興宮董事長楊文鐘指出，今年活動恰逢重陽敬老時節，除了四十二公里全馬組及二十一公里半馬組，適合喜歡跑步的選手追馬挑戰、六公里歡樂組健康跑用雙腳體驗西螺之美外，闔家同樂的三公里健走組，也廣邀出外打拼的年輕人回鄉陪伴家人及長輩，大手牽小手作伙相揪來走西螺大橋，感受太平媽慈悲關懷守護眾生的精神。同時福興宮也提供選手登記住宿香客大樓服務，各地跑馬好手能提前一天來到西螺養精蓄銳。
本次活動不但以高額獎金吸引選手參加、好禮獎不完，還特別增設「變裝造型獎」，對跑者來說是非常新穎有趣的體驗，也能增加賽前準備的樂趣，只要你敢秀，馬場之星就是你。主辦單位表示，完賽選手除了可以品嚐豐盛西螺美食料理，還能獲得西螺媽祖太平媽祈福紀念金牌及超值伴手禮盒，更有機會抽中純金媽祖首飾、東北亞來回機票及I-PHONEX等多項豐富大獎。此外，選手憑號碼布獨享在地友善店家專屬優惠，一次購足百年傳承純釀醬油、麥芽酥、麻糬等多項在地特色伴手禮，讓參加者跑得盡興，吃得開心還能滿載而歸。
